THEATRE – Ian Stone is Keeping It Together

Ian Stone has performed at Fringe more times than I’ve had hot dinners, and he works with an audience like no one’s business.  Last year, Ian won the ‘Spirit of Fringe’ award.  This year he’s back with a new show poking fun at every generation with his sharp observational humour and ever-ready wit.  To see an Ian Stone show is to be guaranteed laughs; it’s simply not in his DNA to disappoint an audience.  He may not be perceived as young and cool anymore, but he doesn’t mind (that much!), and he delivers the show with the energy and enthusiasm of a young man.  His impression of Sir David Attenborough’s commentary on Arsenal fans visiting Wolverhampton in the late 70s rendered me helpless with laughter. May the inner workings of Stoney’s mind continue to be celebrated at Fringe for many more years to come.

The Counting House Ballroom (free & unticketed)  – 4pm daily until  25th August followed by a UK tour : www.ianstonecomedian.co.uk
