The Jockey Club Venues bolsters leadership team with new hires to drive business growth

The Jockey Club Venues, a collection of prestigious racecourse event and hospitality venues across the UK, has strengthened its Business Development team with the appointment of Dan Elliott in the new role of Head of New Business.

Dan will join newly promoted Head of Conference and Events Sales for the group, Charlotte Jones. Charlotte, who previously led the growth of The Jockey Club’s Conference and Events business in the West region, will now expand her scope to a national level to drive robust sales across all of Jockey Club Venue’s 15 courses including Newmarket, Sandown Park and Epsom Downs.

Dan, who was previously National Sales Manager – Conference and Events at Butlins, has over 20 years’ experience within the tourism and hospitality industry. Prior to his role at Butlins he led national sales at Center Parcs UK and has also worked for The Thomas Cook Group.

Dan comments: “I’ve been immersed in the world of leisure and hospitality for over two decades, working with some of the biggest names in the sector. Jockey Club Venues was a natural next step for me, and I am excited to join Charlotte and her team to take on this new challenge.”

Charlotte comments: “I’m delighted that Dan will be joining myself and the team at Jockey Club Venues. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience, and is an energetic and passionate leader, who thinks strategically and goes above and beyond to find ways to drive business forward. He will be a real asset to the business.”

Jockey Club Venues offers a wide variety of spaces overlooking glorious grounds, with the flexibility to stage large scale conferences, board meetings, exhibitions, small meetings, team-building events, Christmas parties, awards ceremonies, product launches, location filming, summer parties and much more.
